Why Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is a holistic, evidence-informed practice that examines all the systems of the body in an integrated way and aims to identify and address the root cause of any problem to restore balance and stimulate the body's natural healing processes.

Nutritional therapy is an educational practice that aims to provide you with knowledge about what you eat and the impact this may be having on your health in order to empower you to make more informed decisions about food for the rest of your life.

It is NOT about fad diets and quick fixes, but about finding ways to bring about sustainable change. All programs are individually tailored to address the complex matter of YOUR individual nutritional needs in the context of YOUR lifestyle, environment and medical history, in order to help you achieve optimum health.

Nutritional therapy is NOT a substitute for conventional medical treatment, but can complement any treatment that you may be receiving from your healthcare professional. GP referral and collaboration is encouraged, with patient consent.

Signs of less then optimum health may include:

  • Adrenal fatigue, hypothyroid, low energy, lack of motivation and/or concentration/memory
  • Insomnia, stress or depression
  • Digestive disorders, including IBS
  • Weight problems
  • Allergies, asthma, hay fever and food intolerances
  • Food cravings and addictions
  • Hormone imbalance – PMT, menopause
  • Joint pain
  • Children’s health and/or behavioral problems
  • Headaches
  • Skin problems including eczema, acne and psoriasis
  • Lowered immunity
